Description
Watergate is a house dating from the mid-19th century, constructed from snecked local slate stone rubble with a rag slate roof featuring gable ends and brick end stacks. The building has a double depth plan, with the entrance likely located at the rear, as the front entrance has been blocked and replaced with a small niche. The front elevation is symmetrical with three windows, showcasing dressed stone segmental arches and key blocks above the ground and first floor openings. The ground floor features 16-pane sash windows on either side of a central niche with a round-headed arched opening, while the first floor has three slightly smaller 16-pane hornless sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
