Description

Manor House is a house dating from the mid-19th century, with few later alterations. It is constructed of slatestone rubble, with the left side rendered and stone dressings on the front. The roof is made of slurried slate, featuring ridge tiles and gable ends, with gable end stacks that have brick shafts. The building has a double depth plan, with a central entrance leading to principal rooms on the front left and right, each heated by a gable end stack. There are shallower rear service rooms and a stair hall at the rear center. The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front. The first floor has three 16-pane sash windows, while the ground floor features a 4-pane sash window on the right and left, along with a central six-panelled door that has an overlight. All openings are topped with flat stone arches that include voussoirs. The left side of the house is blind, and the right side has a single-storey rubble lean-to. The interior has not been inspected.
