Description

Tredinnick Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been divided into two houses. It dates from the early 19th century and was partly remodeled in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed from stuccoed and rendered stone rubble, with slate roofs featuring gable ends and brick stacks at the ends and along the ridge.

The main part of the farmhouse, on the left, is likely an early 19th-century house with a double depth plan. It has two principal rooms at the front, heated by end stacks, and a staircase located at the rear of a central passage, flanked by two service rooms. In the early to mid-19th century, a service room was added in a wing at the rear of the left-hand room, along with an extension on the right side, which is probably an I-room plan heated by an end stack. A later 19th-century extension was added to the rear of this wing and on the right side.

The exterior features two storeys with a regular three-window front on the main range, which has sash windows and a central mid-19th-century porch. To the right, there is a two-storey, two-window range from the mid-19th century. The wing at the rear left includes a 19th-century timber polygonal bellcote on the ridge. Inside, the main range retains complete early and mid-19th-century joinery and carpentry details.
