GV II

House and garden wall. Circa mid to late C18, extended in early C19. Stone rubble with moulded granite plinth. Slate roof with hipped ends and brick end stacks. Plan: Earlier-range to front comprising a double depth plan with central entrance; 2 principal rooms to front heated by end stacks and narrow service rooms and stair to rear. In circa early C19 the house was extended to rear with a probable service range of 2 room and central entrance plan. Exterior: 2 storey. Symmetrical 3 window front with early C19 16-pane sashes. 2 sashes flanking C19 6-panel door with 3 sashes above, the left hand sash a replacement with horns. Right hand side elevation comprising front of rear wing, also has a symmetrical 3 window front with C19 panelled door and 16-pane sashes; the right hand sash and central sash of the first floor horned. Interior: Not accessible. An interior inspection is likely to reveal complete C18 and early C19 joinery and fittings. The house is locally associated with the Adam family. Stone rubble garden wall with granite coping and mounting block to east of house.
