Description

The guidepost at Longstone is a structure dating from around the early 19th century, made of granite. It features a tall square section shaft topped with a large square cap that has a pyramid-shaped top. On the four faces of the cap, directions to St Tudy, Camelford, Blisland, Liskeard, Bodmin, St Austell, St Mabyn, and Wadebridge are marked in uppercase lettering. There is also a wrought iron shaft on top of the cap, which may have been used for direction pointers.
