Description
Poltesco Mill House is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with a gabled projection added in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of stone rubble, featuring granite lintels over the openings. It has a gabled scantle slate roof on the right side, with a brick chimney stack located in the gable end. To the left, there is a projecting wing that has a rubble stone ground floor and a whitewashed brick first floor, topped with a hipped scantle slate roof. There is a rendered brick chimney on the south slope and a tall brick chimney at the rear. The house has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high with an asymmetrical design.
On the ground floor, the entrance is situated near the junction of the projecting wing and features a partly glazed 20th-century door. To the right of the entrance, there is a 12-pane sash window without horns directly above. The projecting wing has a 12-pane horizontal sliding sash window on the ground floor, with a 16-pane sash window without horns directly above it. The interior has not been inspected.
