Description

Treweatha House is a farmhouse dating from around the mid-18th century, with an extension added to the east in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of rubblestone and is partly slate hung, topped with a slate roof featuring gable ends. There is a rubblestone stack with a brick shaft on the left gable end, a brick stack on the front elevation to the right of centre, and a rendered brick stack at the rear. The layout consists of a single depth plan with two rooms and a cross passage, extended to the rear, and includes an additional room on the right gable end with a rear wing, creating an 'L' shaped plan. A shallow staircase projection is located at the rear.

The house is two storeys high with an asymmetrical four-window west front. On the ground floor, there are two wide 24-pane 19th-century sash windows flanking a 20th-century part-glazed door, which is sheltered by a late 19th or early 20th-century timber and glass porch with a gable end. To the right, in the extended section, there is a tripartite sash window. Above, there are four 16-pane sash windows. The south front of the rear wing is slate hung on the first floor, with brick dressings around the window openings. At the rear, two gabled ends rise above the eaves of the roof. A large fireplace on the left (north) gable end has been blocked. The interior has not been inspected.
