Description
Wheal Honey Stack is a mine chimney built around the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rubblestone and brick, featuring a tall, tapering round stack made of rubblestone, with the upper third finished in red brick. The chimney has a corbelled brick cornice. It serves as a noticeable landmark. Mining operations at the site began in 1845 and continued until 1871 under the name Wheal Trelawny, and then from 1883 to 1884 as Hony and Trelawny.
