Corner shop and 3 adjoining houses 2 of which have been converted to shops. c1830s. Stucco on studwork; asbestos slate roofs; brick chimneys over the cross party walls; No.106 has cast-iron ogee gutters. Rectangular plan. 2 storeys. No.105, left, is a 4-window-range front with terminal stucco rustications. Granite plinth; moulded round-arched doorway, right of middle, with panelled door and fanlight; early C20 shopfront, left of centre, and wide doorway, far left; other openings have moulded architraves and original 12-pane hornless sashes. No.106 has C19 corner shop, on the right, and C20 shopfront, on the left: 2-window front and 2-window return into Little Castle Street; C20 twelve-pane horned sashes; shop front has doorway into splayed corner with original overlight and 3-light shop window, left of doorway, and 4-light plus 2-light window in the right-hand return, all with arched lights, with consoles and fascia to moulded entablature. Round-headed doorway, left of shop front, has C20 door and spoked fanlight. INTERIORS: shops altered C20, otherwise not inspected. Included for group value.
