Description

Two town houses, now shops, were built in the late 18th century. They are located on the south side of Kenwyn Street in Truro. The exterior is stuccoed over studwork and has a steep roof covered in asbestos slate, with rendered chimney stacks at the ends. The houses likely have a double-depth plan, and have been altered to accommodate shops. They are two storeys high with a four-window facade. The windows are 16-pane sashes with horned frames, set within moulded architraves. The shop fronts are modern, with crude consoles at the ends. The interiors were altered in the 20th century to create the shops; the remainder of the interiors were not inspected. The buildings are included in the listing primarily for their group value.
