Description
The arch between Nos. 11 and 12, which is not included in the listing, is a former entrance gateway to a public house that is now used by the Salvation Army. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of stucco on masonry. The gateway features square piers with plinths and impost blocks that support a shallow segmental arch. Above the arch, there is a bold moulded cornice topped by a parapet that has a three-sided centre-piece resembling a pediment, which is broken forward. The cornice returns to the left.
