Description

29 and 30 Kenwyn Street are a pair of houses built around the 1840s, located in Truro. The ground floor is constructed of Killas rubble, with No. 29 painted, while the upper floor features slate hanging on studwork. The houses have an asbestos slate roof and brick chimneys positioned over the cross party walls, along with cast-iron ogee gutters. They are designed with a double-depth plan, each having one room at the front and parallel entrance halls at the center. The buildings are two stories high and have a symmetrical arrangement of two windows. The doorways are situated close together in the center, with No. 29 on the left featuring its original four-panel door, while No. 30 has a 20th-century panelled door. Both houses have late 19th or 20th-century four-pane horned sash windows. A moulded wooden cornice is present between the stone front of the ground floor and the slate hanging above, which is also visible on the right-hand return. Additionally, there is a moulded eaves cornice. The interiors have not been inspected.
