Pair of houses in row. c1840s. Dressed Killas to ground floor, slatehanging on studwork above; asbestos slate roof; brick chimneys over the cross party walls. Double-depth plan each with one room to front and parallel entrance halls to centre. No.27 (left) has an extra chamber over the entrances. 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Pair of doorways close together to centre. No.27 has its original 6-panel door, 3-pane overlight and 16-pane hornless sashes. No.28 has its original door (now partly glazed) and overlight, and late C19 hornless 4-pane sashes. There is a moulded wooden cornice between the stone front of the ground floor and the slatehanging above. INTERIORS not inspected.
