Description
REDRUTH GREEN LANE SW 64 SE (east side) 11/276 Nos.30 and 32 GV II Pair of houses. Early to mid C19. Coursed squared killas with granite dressings, slate roof, brick chimneys. Double-depth plan, No.30 double- fronted and No.32 single-fronted, and both with rear extensions. Two storeys and 5 bays in total; granite quoins to corners and all openings; No.30 has a symmetrical 3-bay facade, the central doorway protected by a fine later C19 5-sided panelled and glazed porch-cum-conservatory, with double doors to the front and windows in the other sides, all with cusped ogee tracery in the heads and spandrels of blue stained glass with foliated patterns, and the panels below with raised linen-fold decoration, a green glazed frieze protected by closely-spaced S-shaped scrolls with egg-and- dart decoration above, and a prominent moulded cornice; large tripartite sashed windows at ground floor, horned 4-pane sashes above. No.32 to the left has a 2-bay facade with a recessed door in the 2nd bay, a sashed window above, and in the 1st bay a 2-storey canted bay window with sashes on both floors; ridge chimney at the junction, gable chimney to the left. Rear of less interest; interiors not inspected.
