Description

No. 6, Symons Terrace is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is built using cross-wall construction, incorporating stone cross walls and slate-hung front and rear walls, with a slate roof. The house has a rectangular, double-depth plan and features a projecting rear stair turret.

The symmetrical facade is two storeys high and three bays wide, and includes a plinth of granite blocks. The central doorway has pilaster jambs, a cornice supported by consoles, and a recessed panelled door with a rectangular overlight. There are two four-pane sash windows on the ground floor and three above. Projecting eaves and gable chimneys are present. The rear elevation features a stair turret with a tall sash window and a hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
