It has four adjustable pointers that sit above a moulded collar and are topped with a moulded, conical finial. Each pointer is connected to its collar with integral coved brackets and has canted ends, along with embossed inscriptions. The left-hand pointer indicates distances to Helford Passage (1½ miles), Port Navas (2¾ miles), and Helston (10½ miles). The second pointer shows the distance to Mawnan Church (1¼ miles). The third pointer indicates Budcock (2¼ miles), while the right-hand pointer lists distances to Penryn (4½ miles), Falmouth (5¼ miles), and Truro (12¾ miles).
