Description

This guide post, dating from the early 20th century, is made of cast iron and features a round shaft. The shaft has embossed letters and two adjustable pointers with rounded corners, which are secured by bolted collars to the upper part of the shaft, just above a moulded cornice. The collars are topped with a moulded ball and a spear-headed finial. The south-west pointer indicates distances to Constantine (3¼ miles) and Helston (9¼ miles), while the north-west pointer shows distances to Mabe (3½ miles), Penryn (4 miles), and Falmouth (5 miles).
