Description
This guide post, dating from the early 20th century, is made of cast iron. It features a round shaft topped with four adjustable pointers and a moulded spear-head finial. The pointers are equipped with integral quadrant brackets and have slightly rounded corners, each displaying embossed inscriptions. The west pointer indicates PORKELLIS 2½ miles, the south pointer shows RAME ¼ and HELSTON 6¼ miles, and the east pointer points to PENRYN 3½ and STITHIANS 1¾ miles.
