Description

This milestone, dating from around the mid-19th century, is a painted dressed granite monolith featuring a pyramidal head. The shaft is triangular in shape and sits on a square base. Two sides of the milestone are inscribed, with the left side reading "HELSTON 6 PENZANCE 9" and the right side stating "FALMOUTH 6 TRURO 10." The inscriptions rise from large pyramid stops.
