Description
This milestone, likely dating from around 1864, is a painted dressed granite monolith. It has a triangular shape on top of a rectangular base. The two rectangular sides of the shaft are angled towards the road and rise from large pyramid stops. Each side features incised lettering and Arabic numerals. The top of the milestone has a pyramidal head. The left side is inscribed with "PENZANCE 6, LANDS END 16," while the right side reads "HELSTON 7, FALMOUTH 19."
