Description
The Bal Ding chimney at Retanna Mine is a detached chimney dating from around the mid-19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble with a brick upper stage that sits on a corbelled brick collar. The chimney features a tapered shaft, with a fairly tall lower stage that includes a flue opening at the bottom. The short upper stage is partly fallen.
