Description
Pink Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted and rendered stone rubble, with part of the right-hand gable end finished in slate. The slate roof features gable ends and brick chimney stacks at each end. The building has a two-room single depth plan, with a wide shallow central entrance hall and a framed stair.
The cottage is two storeys high and has a symmetrical two-window front. The ground floor windows have brick segmental arches, with an early 19th-century hornless 12-pane sash window on the right and a similar horned sash window from the 19th century on the left. In the centre, there is a 19th-century porch with a panelled entrance door. The first floor features two 19th-century horned 12-pane sash windows.
There is a single-storey extension on the right-hand gable end, made of rendered stone rubble and topped with a slate roof that has a hipped end on the right. The interior of the ground floor remains largely intact, including the 19th-century stair. The cottage is included for its group value above the cove of Port Gaverne.
