Description
Lacombe Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of rendered and painted stone rubble and features a slate roof with gable ends and a brick chimney stack on the right-hand gable end. The cottage has a two-room plan with a central entrance, built into the side of a steep hill. It stands two storeys high and has a regular two-window front, with two 19th-century six-pane sash windows on the ground floor, a central 19th-century four-panel door with a slate hood, and two similar sash windows above the ground floor openings. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value in the unspoilt cove of Portquin.
