Description
Trebeard Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is built of stone rubble with large granite quoins and has a rendered and painted finish above the ground floor. The cottage features a stone rubble end stack on the left and a brick shaft for the end stack on the right. The layout consists of a single depth, two-room plan with a cross or through passage, and the entrance is located to the right of the center. The larger hall-kitchen is on the left and is heated by the end stack, while a small service room is on the right. There is a circa 19th-century outshut added to the left end.
The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical front featuring two windows. There is a 20th-century painted brick porch with a gable end to the right of the center, a 19th-century shuttered window to the right, and a two-light casement window to the left. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century two-light casement windows. A lean-to outshut is present on the left end. The interior has not been inspected.
