Description
The Kings Head Hotel is a public house, likely built in the mid-18th century. It features stone rubble construction that is painted and rendered on the front, with rag slate hanging on the left and left-hand wing. The front range has a slate mansard roof, with the front slope coated in bitumen, and a lower slate roof with a gable end on the left-hand wing. The building has an overall 'L' shaped plan; the front range consists of a two-room and passage layout, with the entrance located to the left of center. The larger room is on the right and the smaller room is on the left, both heated by end stacks. The rear wing to the left has at least a two-room plan.
The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical three-window front. The entrance is to the left of center, flanked by a twelve-pane sash window on the left and a twenty-pane sash window on the right. There are three twelve-pane sashes on the first floor. The rear wing features 19th and 20th-century windows, with a 18th-century casement window on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
