Description

SW 98 SE ST ENDELLION PORTQUIN 1/109 Quay Cottage - GV II Pair of attached cottages converted into one. Circa early C19. Stone rubble. Slate roof with gable ends and rendered brick chimney stacks on gable ends and axial C20 brick stack to right of centre. Single depth plan, built into side of hill with higher ground level at rear. Originally comprised cottage on left of 2 room and central entrance plan and cottage on right of 1-room plan with entrance on left. 2 storeys, regular 3-window front with original 16-pane hornless sashes. Ground floor with part-glazed C20 door to left in original window opening, and 16-pane sash in original entrance. 2 further 16-pane sashes with plank door between, all openings with brick segmental arches. First floor with three 16-pane sashes. Interior not inspected. Quay Cottage remains largely unaltered, positioned on the north side of the unspoilt cove of Portquin.
