Description
Longley Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one. They date from the early 19th century, with an earlier building attached. The structure is made of coursed squared stone and features a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high, with each cottage consisting of one bay, and the earlier building to the right also has one bay and two storeys. The building has quoins, and the openings are framed with plain stone surrounds, featuring windows with flat-faced mullions. Each cottage has an entrance door, and there are two-light windows on each floor. A central stack is present. The earlier building is constructed from larger stones and has quoins on the right side, along with a shaped kneeler. The right side of this building has a blocked chamfered two-light window, as the mullion has been removed, and other openings have been altered later.
