Description

Stansfield Bridge is a road bridge from the 18th century, with its parapet rebuilt in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and squared stone. The bridge features two segmental arches with rubble voussoirs, dripcourses, and a triangular-section cutwater on each face. Below the parapet is a punch-dressed band topped with saddle-back ashlar coping. The terminal bollards are also punch-dressed, featuring bands and hemispherical capstones.
