Description
The north west wall of the fish cellars in Port Quin dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with ashlar stone on the western side. This wall is part of the remains of the outer structure of the fish cellars, while the ranges to the north-east and south-east have been converted into holiday accommodation and are not included in this listing. The wall features a window opening on the left and a door opening to the right of the center. To the left of the entrance, there is a line of brick niches that were originally used for pressing poles. This wall contributes significantly to the character of the unspoilt settlement of Port Quin, situated opposite Guys Cottage and Quin Cottage.
