Description
The Port Isaac and St Endellion War Memorial is a structure commemorating those who served in the First and Second World Wars. Made from roughly-hewn granite, it features a Celtic cross atop a trapezoid-shaped plinth and a square base. On the south-east face of the base, there is a bronze plaque inscribed with "IN MEMORIAM / GREAT WAR / 1914-1918," listing the names of 30 individuals who fell during that conflict. Below this, it states "WORLD WAR / 1939-1945," followed by the names of 23 fallen soldiers. The inscription concludes with "OF PORT ISAAC AND ST ENDELLION / WHO DIED SERVING THEIR COUNTRY / THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE."
