Description

This is a house, formerly incorporating a shop, built in the early to mid-19th century, with later changes. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble and has an asbestos slate roof with gable ends and gable stacks. The original plan comprised two rooms with a central entrance. Around the mid-19th century, a canted bay window was added to the front left, and a canted shop window to the front right.

The building has a symmetrical three-storey facade. The ground floor has a central panelled and glazed door with a fascia and cornice that extends to the shop window on the right. The shop window is a late 19th-century addition, featuring slender colonnettes as glazing bars and four panes to the front, with sidelights and a segmental arch above. A blocked door, formerly belonging to the shop, is located to the right, also with a segmental arched toplight. The left-hand canted bay window has a cornice and features a four-pane sash to the front, with plate-glass sashes on the sides. The first and second floors each have four-pane sash windows to the right and left. The right side of the building has a two-light casement window at ground floor level. The interior has not been inspected.
