Description

This is an 18th-century house, likely used as a shop in the mid-19th century, located on North Street, Lostwithiel. It has undergone alterations in the mid-to-late 19th century for shop use, and subsequently. The building is constructed of rendered stone rubble, with a slate roof featuring ridge coping tiles and gable ends, and a stack on the right-hand gable. The plan includes a central entrance to the house, a room to the right front, a further room to the rear right, a wide passage to the rear left of the house, and a rear right service wing. The front of the house has a plinth and two windows to each floor. The first floor has two six-pane sash windows. The ground floor features a wide double door to the left, a central four-panelled door, and an eight-pane shop window to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
