Description
No. 14 Fore Street is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century, with later 19th-century alterations for the shop and some additional modifications. The building is constructed of rendered stone rubble, and the first and second storeys may feature a plastered timber frame. It has a slate roof with gable ends, and the original stacks have been removed. The layout is double depth, with an entrance on the right that provides access to the upper floor, while the ground floor features a shop on the left. The building has three storeys and two windows. The ground floor includes a wide canted shop window bay with a moulded cornice, a central recessed doorway with double glazed doors, and windows on either side. To the right, there is a panelled and glazed door. The first floor has two 16-pane sash windows, and the second floor has two 12-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
