HAYLE FORE STREET (south side), Hayle SW 5637-5737 11/89 Milestone at SW 564378 - GV II Milestone. Circa mid C19. Painted dressed granite monolith. Triangular-on-plan shaft over a rectangular-on-plan base. 2 rectangular sides of the shaft face the road obliquely and rise from large pyramid stops. Each of these sides has incised lettering and Arabic numerals. Pyramidal head. Left-hand side inscription: HAYLE PENZANCE 8 MILES LANDSEND 18 Right-hand side inscription: HAYLE CAMBORNE 5 MILES REDRUTH 9 TRURO 19
