HAYLE SW 5638-5738 9/58 Milestone at SW 577386 - II Milestone. Circa mid C19. Painted dressed granite monolith. Triangular-on-plan shaft over a rectangular on-plan base. 2 rectangular-sides of the shaft face the road obliquely and rise from large pyramid stops. Each of these sides has incised lettering and Arabic numerals. Pyramidal head. Left-hand side inscription: HAYLE 1 MILE PENZANCE 9 LANDS END 29 Right-hand side inscription: CAMBORNE 4 MILES REDRUTH 14 TRURO 17
