Description
The Village Pump is a village pump located over a spring, dating from the late 19th century. It features a cast-iron pump and bucket stand set on a dressed granite base. The pump has a round barrel and a round bucket stand, both resting on a rectangular base. The pump is fully intact, with a shaft that has moulded collars, a panelled barrel with a jointed spout, and a long, shaped handle with a ball end. The bucket stand is also complete, designed as a bucket-shaped tapered casting.
