Description

A dressed granite milestone on the north side of Viaduct Hill. It is rectangular on plan with a rectangular pyramid top. The edges are rounded and worn. The south and west sides of the milestone have rectangular recessed panels. The south (roadside) panel carries the inscription 19 / L, while the west panel is inscribed with 9 / P; the letters and numbers are in bas relief. Below the inscription on the south face is a bench mark.
