LUDGVAN CANON'S TOWN SW 53 NW 5/27 Milestone at SW 531350 - II Milestone. Circa mid C19. Painted dressed granite monolith. Triangular-on-plan shaft over a rectangular-on-plan base. 2 rectangular sides of the shaft face the road obliquely and rise from large pyramidal stops. Each of these sides has incised lettering and Arabic numerals. Pyramidal head. Left-hand side inscription : PENZANCE 5 MILES LANDS END 15 Bench mark under. Right-hand side inscription : HAYLE 3 MILES CAMBORNE 8 REDRUTH 12 TRURO 21 Base partly buried.
