Description

The building immediately west of Tredrea Manor Farmhouse is likely a blacksmith's or wheelwright's shop, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from killas and granite rubble, with some dressed granite and copper slag blocks, and features oak lintels. The roof is made of scantle slate and has a brick chimney on the left-hand gable end.

The building has a small rectangular plan with a fireplace at the left-hand end. The exterior is single storey with an irregular south-southeast front, which includes a small window opening to the left of the middle and a wide doorway to the right of the middle. There is an old window with overlapping panes and old ledged doors. High on the wall to the left of the window is a plaque that reads: "Charles Davies Giddy, 1 year and 6 months. Assisted with his little hands in planting this laurel, 1st October 1811. Died May 15th 1813."

Inside, the fireplace has been slightly altered, but the original roof structure remains intact.
