Description
Tredrea Manor Cottage, which includes the front garden walls, is a service cottage associated with Tredrea Manor Farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 19th century. The cottage is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and features a scantle slate roof with brick chimneys at the gable ends. It has cast-iron ogee gutters.
The building has a shallow double depth plan with two front rooms: a wider room on the left, likely serving as the kitchen or living room, and a smaller parlour on the right. A cross passage leads to the staircase, which is probably situated between two shallow service rooms.
The exterior is two storeys high and nearly symmetrical, with a three-window south-southeast front. The doorway and a window are slightly right of the center. The original panelled door has an overlight, and the windows are likely original 12-pane horned sashes.
The front garden walls are made of granite rubble, topped with vertically-set rubble copings. The entrance is located to the left of the house and features a square-on-plan granite monolithic pier with a pyramidal head.
