Description
Tregender Manor Farmhouse, including the front garden wall, is a farmhouse located at the roadside, dating from the early 19th century, and possibly a remodelling of an earlier house. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings, and features some granite ashlar in the rear wing. The roof is made of scantle slate with brick chimneys at the gable ends, and it has cast-iron ogee gutters.
The building has a double-depth plan with a two-storey service wing at right angles behind the rear middle, forming an overall T-shaped layout. The front consists of two rooms: a wider kitchen on the left and a parlour on the right, with a cross passage leading to the stair and rear service rooms. The exterior is two storeys high with a slightly irregular three-window south front. The doorway is located to the right of the middle and features a 20th-century door. The windows are late 19th or 20th-century six-pane horned sashes. On the left-hand gable end, there is a 19th-century barred pantry window and an original 12-pane hornless sash above it.
The interior has not been inspected. A tall coped rubble wall is located on the left side of the front and connects to a later 19th-century low wall topped with wooden dowelled railings. The gateway is flanked by granite monolithic piers topped with ball finials.
