Description

This is a road bridge over a stream and a boundary stone, dated 1812 and inscribed with "W.H." It is constructed from granite rubble and roughly-hewn granite monoliths. The bridge features two spans with lintels that span the stream and support the road surface. The lintels on either side of the bridge are higher, creating a low kerb. In front of the central piers and the abutments, there are granite monoliths with sockets designed to hold an iron railing; the current balustrade is a 20th-century replacement. On the downstream (west) side, above the right-hand span, there is an incised inscription reading "W.H. 1812." To the right of this inscription is a square-on-plan round-headed monolith inscribed "H.1."
