Description

65 and 67 Fore Street are a house with a shop, dating to around the mid-19th century. The front is stuccoed, with a scantle slate roof featuring projecting eaves, a hipped end on the right, and a gable end on the left, shared with the adjacent property. A cast-iron ogee gutter runs along the roofline. The building's plan consists of a single-depth construction with a small extension at the rear on the left. A parlour is located on the left side, while a wider shop occupies the right. The two-storey front has four windows. Stucco aprons are present under the regularly spaced first-floor windows. A complete shopfront from the mid- to late-19th century occupies the lower part of the building, covering the three right-hand windows. The central doorway is flanked by a pair of three-light shop windows with arched lights, pilasters, and an entablature topped with small modillions. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
