Description
Nos 25, 27, and 29 are a row of houses with a wall at the front, built around the mid-19th century. The front is covered in stucco, and the roof is made of asbestos slate with projecting eaves. There are brick chimneys located over the party walls. The layout features a double depth plan with two equally sized reception rooms at the front, flanking a central entrance hall that leads to a stair hall between the rear service rooms. The houses have been divided into smaller units, so the original plan may have been altered.
The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window south front and a central doorway. It has a stucco plinth and rusticated quoin strips, with similar rustications around the doorway and plain stucco architraves. The doorway features a 20th-century door with an overlight, while the ground floor windows have been replaced with 20th-century versions, and the first floor retains original 12-pane hornless sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
