Description

Bramble Cottage is a small house, probably built in the 18th century. It features painted killas rubble walls and timber lintels, topped with an asbestos slate roof and brick chimneys at both gable ends. The right-hand chimney is situated over an external semi-circular rubble stack. The layout consists of a two-room plan with likely a lobby entrance and stair between the rooms, along with a 20th-century extended lean-to on the right. The exterior is two storeys high and has a slightly asymmetrical front with two windows and a doorway located to the left of the middle. The doorway is set within an old gable-ended stone porch, and the windows are mid-19th century 12-pane hornless sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
