Description
No. 6 Churchtown is a Grade II listed building, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It consists of two shops with living accommodation behind. The exterior is finished in stucco and features an asbestos slate hipped roof with projecting eaves supported by paired brackets.
The building has a double-depth plan, with two shops at the front and living rooms located behind. It stands two storeys high and has a four-window facade. The original twelve-pane hornless sash windows are present, including on the right-hand side. The shopfronts, dating from the 19th century, are flanked by wooden pilasters beside the windows and doorways. There is a 20th-century door with overlights and modern glazing in the shop windows. A moulded entablature runs above the shop fronts, returning a short distance at the ends. The interior has not been inspected.
