Description

Elm Cottage is a small house, likely built in the 18th century. It features painted rubble walls with timber lintels above the openings. The roof is made of asbestos slate and has a brick chimney on the left-hand gable end, as well as a shared brick chimney over a rubble stack on the right party gable. The layout is probably a double-depth plan with two rooms at the front, flanking an entrance lobby or cross passage. The exterior is two storeys high and has a nearly symmetrical two-window front with a doorway to the left of the middle. The door is from the 20th century, and the windows are late 19th century six-pane horned sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
