Description
Trevellance Cottage is a house that combines several cottages into one, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from painted killas and rendered cob, topped with a steep dry Delabole slate roof featuring brick chimneys at the gable ends. The layout likely consists of a double-depth plan with two rooms at the front and a central entrance lobby. To the left is an integral cottage with a room at the front, and to the right is a one-room-plan extension from the early 19th century. There is also a small extension at the rear added in the 20th century.
The exterior is two storeys high with a total of four windows across the front. The original part of the house in the middle has a symmetrical two-window front and a central doorway. The integral cottage on the left has its doorway on the right, which is now partly blocked and fitted with a window. On the right side, there is a 19th-century one-window front extension. The door is likely from the 20th century, and the original openings are probably fitted with 12-pane, two-light casements supported by wooden lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
