Description

Harbour View is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with a slate roof and stone rubble chimney stacks on the gable ends. The house is built into the side of a hill, resulting in a one-story and attic elevation facing the Warren and a two-story and attic elevation facing the harbour, which rises from the harbour wall. The harbour front has an almost symmetrical two-window facade, featuring 20th-century two-light casement windows without glazing bars. The ground floor has a larger opening flanked by two smaller openings. The first and second floors each have two window openings, the second floor windows being beneath raked dormers. The side elevation facing the Warren is asymmetrical, with a partly glazed 20th-century door with a timber lintel and a 19th-century four-pane sash window on the ground floor, and a two-light casement window above. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for group value as an integral part of the harbour scene.
