Description
Peak House is a house built around the mid-19th century. It features a pebbledash rendered stone rubble exterior and a slate roof with hipped ends. The building has rendered brick stacks at the hipped ends and is constructed into the side of a hill, presenting a three-storey elevation that overlooks the harbour and a one-storey elevation facing Talland Hill. The layout is a double depth plan, with the main front rooms located on either side of the entrance hall, secondary rooms situated behind, and a rear wing with splayed corners. The symmetrical three-storey elevation facing the harbour includes two 12-pane sash windows flanking a part-glazed door from the late 19th century. Above this, there are three 12-pane sashes in exposed sash boxes, and the second floor features three two-light casements in what are likely original sash openings. Both elevations of the house remain unspoilt and unaltered. The interior has not been inspected.
